Review of Lichfield Maize Maze

Open for just over a year, Lichfield Maize Maze is at the entrance to the village of Wall just off the A5. It's a fully outdoor attraction with plenty to keep kids happy. Each year the shape of the maze changes. Last year it was a bumble bee and this year it's an owl which can be seen from the viewing tower inside the maze. On arrival at the maze, we were given our map and stickers. I knew that was a sure fire way to motivate my children to race around the maze. We started on the smaller maize and my youngest loved matching up the bird eggs to their nests at the points dotted around the maze. We did get a little lost! But, once my 10 year old started directing us round with the map we were on a roll and allocated all the stickers. Outside of the maze, ther e are more areas for children to play: a tractor area, swing ball and a large sandpit. All great for free-range children.
